Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Information, University of Michigan, where I work with Drs. Barry Fishman and Leslie Rupert Herrenkohl. My research expertise is user research, particularly using qualitative methodology to investigate information behavior in daily life. I completed my Ph.D. and MLIS in Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, advised by Dr. Melissa Ocepek.

As an interdisciplinary scholar devoted to exploring the joy of information, I bring together various research streams to examine how information is obtained, utilized, and created for fun. My doctoral dissertation was awarded the 2021 Eugene Garfield Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship from the Beta Phi Mu Honor Society. My work has been published across different venues, primarily in Information Science and Learning Sciences, such as iConference, ASIS&T, Connected Learning Summit, and ISLS.

In my spare time, I enjoy daydreaming, reading, visiting libraries, spending quality time with my family, and exploring the world of anime and manga. Also, I have a keen interest in learning new languages!
